YA AM ↔ PM requests:

• We want to avoid encouraging frequent changes between YA AM and YA PM classes. Some reasons for this is:

• • Significant manual workload for our internal teams (scheduling, customer service, accounting).
  • Confusion around pricing due to varying market flyers.
  • Challenges in planning and class allocation - if many students switch from AM to PM or vice versa, it affects classroom availability and teacher scheduling.
  • Impact on the student experience-  consistency helps students settle in socially and academically; frequent changes can disrupt this.

When a student insists on changing (some reasons may be that they have other classes or commitments, they were not clear on the schedule they previously selected and are insistent, etc), we can make the change. 

• Let students know about the flat $50/week upgrade fee:

• • This fee applies to moving from YA PM to YA AM.  There is no refund for tuition difference if students move from YA AM to YA PM.

• • The manager will contact the respective GSS team member to assist us in invoicing the student for the tuition difference and to change the code.   We cannot simply re-assign on Edmiss without the correct code. 

• • • Friendly reminder not to send students to their agency - we can help!
    • Moving forward, we no longer need to request the price difference as across the board, it will be $50/week for all students. 

• Requests of this nature need administrative time to change in our systems.  They can apply for the following Monday and cannot be made the same day (of course, except in the case of internal mistakes or highly escalated situations).

• Reminder that students will have a better experience joining new classes on main start Mondays and we can share that with students.

Changes apply only for the remaining weeks of the program, not partial weeks (for example, a student cannot do 4 weeks YA PM, then 4 weeks of YA AM, then 4 weeks of YA PM. In this case, when they move to AM, it is for the remainder of their enrolment).   This is the same for students moving from IE to PE and a friendly reminder that there is a flat fee of $50/week to upgrade from IE to PE as well.
